FYI

So, as you all recall, I'm sure, Afghans for Angels won the April contest, and therefore we as a group pledged 50 afghans in May for that group.

I thought you all would be pleased to know that right now our count is at 11, which means we are averaging approximately an afghan a day!!

Also, if you all want to be floored, I encourage you to check out our total count for the year. Maybe I should double our goal :)

Y'all rock. Lots.

I've read the last 3 post and am totally and completely lost. I've been so busy, I've not been able to be here, so don't know about the teams for summer are all about (I'm from Ohio and apparently that means something?), I don't know about the vote for Afghans for Angels and need to know what we're suppose to be making and for whom.

Gonna try to read back some more, but would love it..if someone can give me the condensed version.

I've made some things, and hope with work being a little lighter I can get a few more things done.
Thanks
Sandy

The condensed version is - in April we divided into teams to make items for our chosen charities, and whichever team won, got to have items made for their charity in May.

Over the summer, we are having two more contests (actually, one goes until Dec, I think). One contest is the regional contest, where members from regions compete with each other. So far, though, the only region with more than one person signed up is Ohio, so we are apparently having two teams: Ohio and The Rest of the World.

Thanks James, I'll see if I can find the right April post for the rest of the info.

Ok, responding to my earlier post (where I posted squares and hat pics), the squares were stacked up on top of each other, sorry you couldn't see them all to count all that were made and sent.

Not sure I understand what you mean about posting pictures, sometimes they go where I want them and other times they don't?

Reading James note, and looking back through older post; I'm not sure I still know what the aghans for the group that won are. I didn't see that charity listed in the list of charities.

Afghans for Angels is an organization that donates homemade afghans to families that lost an infant, whether through illness or miscarriage.

You can learn more about the organization at http://www.angelfire.com/ia2/AforApage2/index.html :)
