Just curious...

I'm trying to find out how many folks in this group are on Ravelry and what you think of it, for reasons that will become clear....sometime soon...

Can you comment here or go over and post to the lj community (you can comment as anonymous) and let me know if you use Ravelry and if you like it?

Thanks bunches!

hey there. i'm there, but have been really lax about heading there recently. we've actually got a ravelry group set up, but as i haven't been there recently i'm not sure if people are still using it.

I just popped over there and joined and posted. My intent is to help you get things rolling over there, if that's okay :)

I'm on and off Ravelry several times every day. I love it! It's amazing for connecting with people, and for finding patterns and yarn info. I really can't say enough good about it.

The Homespun Helpers group is still up and running, but there isn't a lot of activity on it. But I find that's true about a lot of the Ravelry groups I belong to. The larger the group, the more activity there is, but the smaller groups tend to be much quieter.

There are a couple of larger Ravlery groups devoted to charity work - The Greater Good and Charity Knitting. Both boards are fairly active. I belong to both, but I don't post that often because I'm not doing as much charity work this year as I did last year.

I'm on the waiting list for Ravelry as of yesterday, so can't comment on that in terms of liking it or not.

Don't know what you mean by posting on the lj thread, but in general find multiple groups with the same name confusing. I like blogs over mail list. For busy people who don't want a full mail box or who don't like re-reading the same posts over and over I think they're preferrable for communication. I like forums over mail lists for the same reason. but, have noticed some folks here on blogger have a group with the same name on yahoo and often to participate you have to be a part of both, seems repetive to me.

Thanks joriejc2 for the nice compliment on my recent posting pics of completed items.

Hope everyone has a good and productive day.
