Hi everybody,
I wanted to check in with you all to make sure that you are still having fun with this group, and if you are not, to see what I can do to make it more fun! Please please please feel free (and encouraged) to make this community about crafting as well as charity work. If you are using your talents to make a present or a sweater for yourself, share with us! If you have questions there are very skilled crafters here. Don't disappear or worry about whether to post or not! :)
Anyway, if there is anything I can do or should do, just let me know (within reason) :)

In 2008 we donated 3,433 items for a 2-year total of 6,634 items!!
In 2009 we donated 2,655 items for a 3-year total of 9,289 items!!!
Homespun Helpers is beginning a third year of hand-crafting items for charities. Our goal is to be a source of crafted items that charities need in order to better help people. Whether it's a hat for Afghans for Afghans or an afghan for Afghan for Angels, we are willing to provide existing charities with whatever will help them let others know they are loved.

In 2009 we donated 2,655 items for a 3-year total of 9,289 items!!!
As of 2/3/10 we have donated 51 items!
Let's go for 4,000 in 2009!

I suspect that I am one of the members who has sort of disappeared this year. I didn't meant too, but life has seemed more hectic this year. (Not that anything in particular is going on.) I am trying to read more, and I am trying to work on some bigger projects for myself. They are growing slowly, so I can't really even do progress reports. I haven't even had anything to say on my own blog lately.
However, I still really enjoy reading about what the group is doing on all the various sites. And I intend to donate some things that I have hanging around that I haven't posted about yet, so I will do another post eventually. I probably won't have time until my vacation at the end of May, though.
