Dear All,
I have been contemplating for the last month or so whether or not I should dismantle Homespun Helpers. There are a lot of reasons for this, the uppermost being that I feel like I can't designate the time that this cause really needs. This has been an amazing experience, but all wonderful things must come to an end. I have seen the use of livejournal slip in my own life and overall, it's difficult for me to find the time to grow the organization on blogspot, and Ravelry seems to be more active in groups that are not about crafting but are about things crafters have in common.
Because this is a community, I wanted to let you all know I was thinking this way to get your input. I have created a page on Facebook called "Making crafts for charity" that I would like to use to spread the word that there are millions of charities that depend on us crafters, and I'll be focusing some efforts there regardless.
Let me know what you think when you have a chance. And thank you!!

I would hate for it to go, but ultimately it is your decision. If nobody else is willing to step up and help run the show, do what you gotta do. I have been honored to be a part of Homespun Helpers for 2+ years and if it continues, I will be here more often when I'm not overwhelmed with my health and college.
See you on Facebook! XOXO
Thanks, Kelli :)
Time is difficult and I understand your thought and heart.
My time even to post here as diminished as I work on my 3 blogs and spend lots of time photographing, posting about, and delivering the items for my charity, Bridge and Beyond.
FB seems to reach alot of people from what I hear; just not something I see myself joining. But, a person needs to do what they can, when they can. You're right when you say there are lots of good charities to support and to spread the news about.
Keep us posted, take care my friend.
I will try to find time to email you, working another 10.5 hour day.
Sandy
